Flachau is famous for its wonderfully groomed, diverse slopes. The resort’s selection of pistes ranges from simple beginners’ slopes to a variety of red slopes and a permanent timed route. This is a ski mecca for intermediates and families and for groups wanting value, quality, a huge ski area on the one pass and a bit of nightlife, all augmented by the friendly atmosphere of Austria.

Visitors are bound to have fun on the mountains where Hermann Maier and Manuela Riegler learned their trade – how to become a World Champion.Flachau itself boasts 3 ski areas and three valleys – all just a stone’s throw from your accommodation. And the Ski Amade network, with over 860 km of slopes, is simply the perfect all-round ski panorama.

Snow tubing, ski tours, winter hiking…
Flachau is simply overflowing with all the options which make winter, snow and mountains so unique.
Endurance sports and traditional winter activities are just as much a part of Flachau as the modern adrenaline kick so beloved of today’s skiing and boarding enthusiasts.

Ultra-modern lift systems, capable of transporting over 26,000 people per hour, ensure that queues are a thing of the past, even at peak periods and make for a rapid, comfortable ascent. 5 storage lakes with a total capacity of 180,000.00 m3, and 130 snowguns mean that snow is almost 100% guaranteed, from December to the beginning of April.

Apres ski as you would expect from almost every Austrian resort is quite lively with numerous bars and restaurants selling their wares at prices that wont make you wince!!Not in the same league as apres in Saalbach,St Anton,Kirchberg,Schladming,Ischgl etc but still better than most other areas in Europe.

Skiing and snowboarding in Flachau, the World Cup resort.
