Scheffau

The picturesque village of Scheffau enjoys a spectacular setting in the foothills of the towering Wilder Kaiser mountains. The resort is linked to, and is actually one of the best starting-points for, the huge Ski Welt circuit - Austria\\\'s largest, fully integrated, ski area with over 290kms of runs. The mountain \\\'bowl\\\' above Scheffau provides some of the best snow conditions in the area. It is also a great place to learn to ski or board with wide, gentle runs and modern lifts. Children will love the \\\'KinderKaiserland\\\' ski area - the perfect place to make their first tracks on skis. It is no wonder that many first timers to this area return to this area year after year.Close to both Munich or Salzburg airport too.Popular too for short breaks of 3 or 4 nights, as well as the usual week trip. Its a perfect choce though for groups of all ability levels.

Ellmau

This delightful resort is located right in the heart of Austria's lovely Tyrol. The village of Ellmau is attractive and picturesque, sited between Austria's dramatic and rugged Wild Emperor mountains and the gentler Kitzbüheler Alps. Skiing holidays in Ellmau give you access to the vast Ski Welt circuit, a renowned ski circuit linking several superb resorts including Söll and Westendorf.

All this means that skiing in Ellmau delivers a great ski experience. You will enjoy access to more than 250km of gorgeous piste. There are wide, easy, gentle nursery slopes close to the centre and there is a convenient, regular bus service running between the nursery area and the village. The 90 cable cars and lifts in SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental - Westendorf now have 180 km of slopes assured of snow – at least 100 km of which can be covered with snow in 3 days and if there is also real snowfall by December, then SkiWelts' excellent reputation as Austria’s largest ski resort, with over 270 km of interconnected slopes will be fully appreciated. The 3 SkiWelt circuits, in addition to the vast number of slopes, are the Kaiser, Salve and Westendorf circuits, which spectacularly lead skiers and snowboarders to the most beautiful areas in SkiWelt region. Depending on your fitness and ability, you can ski down from up to 4,000m altitude. The tireless can also carve around at night in Brixen, Ellmau and Söll thanks to floodlighting. There has been expansion of the night-time skiing, offered by 3 further runs in Höchsöll. Furthermore, the illuminated toboggan run is now equipped with a snow-making system too.

SkiWelt is not only Austria’s largest interconnected ski resort; of all of the comparable large-capacity regions, lift tickets are offered at the lowest prices here.
