Meribel is in the heart of the renowned 3 Valleys, with La Tania and Courchevel connecting from the Eastern side and Val Thorens and Les Menuires from the West.Meribel covers a large area with the village areas of Meribel centre, Moussillon,Rond Point, Belvedere and Altitude 1600 being the higher points at between 1600m and 1700m connecting wih the lower areas of Bride Les Bains a 600m,Meribel Les Allues at 1200m and Meribel Village at 1400m, the highest village being Meribel Motteret at 1750m. The highest point in Meribel is Mont du Vallon at 3000m, so its a pretty snow sure area.

Meribel attracts people from many countries though you can hear lots of British accents here, especially at night. Many love Meribel for its wooden surroundings, pretty chalet style architecture and friendly village atmosphere.Depending on where you are there are a few decent boutique shopping options with plenty of ski clothing shops and outlets plus there are numerous good bars and restaurants to enjoy, with some good apres ski, for France, with a wide choice of accommodations for almost any budget, from self catered chalets and apartments to hotels and catered chalets. Many offer ski in ski out options and a number that don't offer a free shuttle service to and from the slopes, with the free in resort shuttles being decent enough and fairly frequent.
