Morzine is a favourite amongst British and other European skiers wanting a short 75 minute drive or transfer from Geneva, making it perfect for those who wanting either a short break or just not wanting a long transfer.

Morzine lies pretty much in the centre of the huge Portes du Soleil region which consists of 12 interconnected resorts in France and Switzerland. This area offers around 660km of connected pistes, for all levels of ability, or you can just ski the local area, offering access to 120km pistes of Morzine and Les Gets. For snowboarders there are 12 snow parks!! The Portes du Soleil consists of Morzine, Montriond, Les Gets, Avoriaz,Chatel Abondance, Chapelle d'Abondance and St Jean d'Aulps in France and Champery, Torgon, Morgins and Champoussin in Switzerland.

Morzine is no longer a small village with a few twee shops, but is now a contemporary and vibrant small town, with a plethora of shops, bars, restaurants, clubs and off-slope activities, as well as a lively and varied aprs ski scene. Nestled pretty much in the centre of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, you will find a charming alpine atmosphere, which makes it a pleasure to be there and there is plenty do on and off the slopes, including lots of activities for non-skiers.

Morzine is quite unique in that it is a popular choice for adult groups and is well known as a superb family ski resort. Morzine has a number of child-friendly establishments and a good choice of free activities including a good range childrens entertainments. Childcare options are excellent and there is a great choice of ski schools for adults and families to ensure eveyone is well catered for.

Accommodation options are excellent and vary from hotels and self catered apartments to the many catered and self catered larger chalet options for 6 or more. Some offer flexible catering too with Morzine offering many choices pretty much to cater for any budget. We generally get good reviews from people staying here.
