"Hi Martin Just a quick mail to say that we had a great trip, the chalet was excellent with Sam & Shelly caring hosts. A top-up of snow had just arrived a few days before we got there so conditions were packed powder and we had some great skiing with Thurs & Fri cold with snow showers but Sat through to Fri sunny & cool. The Buick SUV served us well and we visited Keystone and Beaver (twice) and on 2 trips we were 6 up with gear. We also had a day off with shopping at Silverthorn and a trip to Leadville. I’m not sure what the transfer costs would have been but we certainly made a good choice by transporting ourselves. The George was our favourite watering hole as we used Gravity Jones to store our skis and boots and it was just across the road. We didn’t fancy the hike from the bus stop up the hill with gear in boots and I would say this was the only down side of the chalet. However I would recommend the ski storage to punters as the cost was only $40 for 9 days and the pain is removed. I thought you did us a great deal on the lift tickets. We skied 8 out of 9 days which made that 37 / day which is remarkable for the US. We paid 28 / day in La Clusaz / Gr Bonond for senior’s tickets in Jan. The tickets gave us the ‘Epic Mix’ facility which we had not seen before and it was great fun guessing our daily total before checking later. Our best was 24,000 ft although the experts in the chalet were clocking 40,000 ft. We enjoyed our meal out at Billy’s Island Grill at Lionshead which was reasonably priced with plenty of atmosphere, the natchos at the Coyote Bar in Beaver went down a treat, and the 2 Elk was as good as ever. Our chalet food was well above the European average, as I said Sam & Shelly looked after us very well and although the wine at dinner was a bit limited it was very drinkable (unlike some French chalets) so no complaints on the food side. So Martin all in all a very successful holiday, we thought it would go into our top 5 ski holidays over the past 26 years, thanks for all your help and I’ll probably speak to you again before next year’s trip."

"We had a fantastic holiday thanks. The Scorpio condo, resort and weather conditions in Vail and the accom in Denver were perfect and the snow was outstnding considering we left on 17 April."
