Chalet Alpaka in Chatel has the perfect location on Route de la Bechigne, well situated in the very heart of this traditional mountain resort, with the lifts within an easy walk. The main sitting room and bar area on the first floor have lovely extended valley views which you can also enjoy when sitting down to dinner and breakfast. The chalet is offered as a fully catered chalet and managed and operated by a well regarded Dutch company, who have been in the catered ski chalet business since 1977, operating numerous ski chalets in France, Austria and Italy, (often previously a British run chalet). Enjoy your 3 course evening meal on 6 evenings of the week with copious amounts of house wine, beers, soft drinks, tea and coffee available at any time and are included in the cost of your holiday.

There are 9 twin/double bedrooms on the 2nd floor, all en suite with a shower and WC and a further quad family bedroom on the top floor of this property.

There are plenty of car parking spaces in the little carpark behind the chalet so it’s perfect for those wanting to self-drive to resort. 

As well as the generous sized and comfortable sitting room there is also an indoor sauna.

Breakfasts will be continental in style with cheese, hams and fresh bread, croissants, yogurt and fruit juices, tea and coffee.

Below are examples of typical evening dinners:

Starter: Basil bruschetta with fresh tomato and mozzarella. 

Main: Meat loaf with roasted onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, pomme gratin, salad with red onion, cucumber, feta and olives. 

Desert: Poached pears with chocolate mousse.

Or

Starter: Giant mushrooms stuffed with bacon and bleu ‘dAuvergne” served with a warm ‘Morzinoise’ roll. 

Main: Braised cod with a mustard cream sauce, mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables. 

Desert: Apple crumble with ice cream.

Towels are also included in our rate together with a mid-week towel change. Afternoon tea and cakes or “snacks” will be provided on your return from skiing.
