Ideally located on the ski slopes of the Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine, Altiport Chalet VIII offers you an excellent ski-in, ski-out option. The chalet is exclusively located in a quiet area higher up the mountain approximately 500m from the start of the bustling centre of Alpe d’Huez, where numerous bars restaurants and boutiques can be found, as well as a swimming pool, leisure centre, ice rink and cinema, all a little further away, with the free shuttle servicing the area too.

The chalet is a short walk (or ski) from the Les Bergers complex, where we offer a discounted ski hire shop and where you will find a couple of cafes , a. bar, a supermarket and a bakery. The chalet offers a  charming and peaceful base, from where you can ski directly from your front door to the gentle slopes bordering the resort, which are ideal for beginners. More experienced skiers can venture straight up on the lifts at Les Bergers, giving you direct access to the larger Alpe d’Huez ski area and of course the famous 14km ski run called La Sarenne, the longest black run in Europe!!

The chalet

Well furnished, this 210m2 chalet is decorated in the traditional Savoyarde style, wood and stone interior and deep colours giving the rooms a warm feel. There is plenty of space in all of the 8 bedrooms, with a large open-plan living area with a fireplace and satellite television, all spread over the chalets 3 floors.

There is an American style kitchen with all the modern amenities, including hotplates, an oven and a microwave oven, a dishwasher, extractor fan and fridge, plus all crockery and pans, allowing guests to cook and eat as they please, or you can let our superb chef do it for you. The chalet offers guests total comfort and space, sleeping up to 15 people, with multiple en-suite bathrooms and toilets. The chalet offers its own private balcony/terrace providing panoramic views of the mountains plus a private sauna in which to unwind.

There are eight bedrooms (two of which are on the ground floor), 3 with two single beds, four with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a single bed, thus sleeping 15. All of them are en suite with a shower room and toilet.Offered on a catered or self catered basis to suit, this is a well located and convenient chalet to enjoy Alpe d’Huez.
