The history of Hotel Grüner Baum is quite interesting as it started life as a butchers back in 1945 after the war had ended. It has had an incredible journey over the years into a gastronomy house and eventually the superb and friendly hotel you will find today. In its pursuit of culinary quality, they have experimented with different regional produce, recipes and creative presentation, culminating in the dishes served today,  infusing ideas from 113 Austrian regions……which means if you don’t enjoy your half board option we will give up!!

Given the gastronomic experience you will have here we can turn to its second major attribute, that being its location on Sebastian Horl Gasse. You are right amongst the hustle and bustle of Zell am See and around a 5 minute amble to the CityXpress lift, so whilst not being ski in ski out, (yet very convenient for the slopes), it is certainly “apres” ski in/out.
