The classy Hotel Bergland is ideally situated in superb Solden,  just a short walk away from the vibrant centre, yet still far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet! It couldnt be in a better location right next to the Zentrum shuttle cable car and 50m from the free ski shuttle service. It has 86 modern suites, all rooms having a balcony, mini bar and satellite TV, as well as breath taking views of the Oetztal mountain landscape. The 2100m2 spa is incredible, as it overlooks the rooftops of Solden and features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, fitness room and various relaxation areas. Hotel Bergland also has a superb renowned restaurant with a relaxing bar area & open log fire, not forgetting its wine cellar and beautiful terraces, to soak up those views with a glass of something in your hand.

All the bedrooms suites and spacious from 38m2 and ideal for singles, couples, families and small discerning groups. The largest option is a 3 bedroom suite as used by Daniel Craig in the filming of 007 Bond film Spectre! This “Summit Suite”is 60m2, has a common living area with a superb balcony and views and with a large living area and an open fireplace it is perfect for spending time in. The living room of the luxury suite also has a large dining area. In addition, the luxurious living area is furnished with a kitchenette with refrigerator, a Nespresso coffee maker, a tea maker, elegant mature timber flooring as well as a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The walls are completely soundproofed to and it has 3 en suite bedrooms with a steam shower.All suites come with a Wellness basket with a soft bathrobe and slippers.

I stayed with my family for a week and booked two bedrooms which easily accommodated my wife and three children aged 16, 13 and 8. The nearest lift was the gondola that in two short hops takes you to the Ice Q restaurant at 3,000m.Unless you’re an absolute beginner you can ski from the nearest lift to the ski schools via blue runs and two lift hops. The rooms were great, clean, spacious with good bathrooms and generous sized baths. The basement gives access to the ski rental shop which had up to date equipment. The hotel also has it’s own racks and boot storage which is heated and ventilated overnight. We stayed half board and had meals everynight in the hotel. Each night had different meal options and plenty of buffet accompaniments which pleased everyone. In our opinion the food was great, some of the dishes were exceptional. Normally we would get bored and go out to eat somewhere different but it just didn’t happen, so that says it all. The staff who looked after us were fantastic and made our stay a pleasure. I ate in the cafe at one lunchtime and the food there was great as well. The wine list had enough choice to provide variety for me over the seven nights and was great value.There is an adjacent luggage room to store your equipment.  Overall I think the hotel and more importantly the staff is/are fantastic and perfectly suited our needs. My family have all expressed a desire to return next year!
