The Premium Residence L’Amara Avoriaz apartments are amongst our favourite ski apartments to stay in.  All of the 1 to 4 bedroom apartments are very well appointed and furnished – offering a degree of independence for your ski holiday, with the self catering option allowing you to eat out, or stay in and cook whenever you want. Or out is possible to book on a half board basis – with evening meals being served up at a local restaurant – the Grand Cafe. There is also another option where your excellent 2 or 3 course evening meals are pre cooked and then delivered for you to reheat and eat. You thus have a range of catering options which allows complete flexibility and freedom over the ski holiday to suit your requirements.

The standard one bedroom apartments feature two single beds and one sofa bed – with two and three bedroom apartments featuring a mixture of sleeping arrangements. The largest four bedroom apartment features two single beds in two bedrooms, two double bedrooms and two sofa beds in the large living area. These apartments are also ski in/ski out which is a massive plus for anybody who is used to trudging across ski resorts with skis in uncomfortable boots (never ski in uncomfortable boots), or parents having to lug their moaning childrens ski equipment all over the place. Phew.Well done mum and dad by choosing to stay here!! The apartments here have balconies, which allow guests to enjoy the quite stunning views of the surrounding ski area.

L’Amara also has its own wellness area, which includes a pool, whirlpool, sauna, hammam and gym – treatments are also available and the outside jacuzzi is available to use at a surcharge.  There’s also all of the alpine charm and hospitality you would expect – there’s even a shopping service available, as well as optional morning fresh bread and pastry delivery service.

All of the apartments have a kitchenette complete with a hob, fridge, microwave grill, coffee machine and dishwasher. Wifi is available and there are quality bathrooms with the bedrooms. Ski lockers and a boot room are also available to use.

An unbeatable location enhances the apartments flexibility and convenience. It’s not just ski in/ski out but is also just a five minute walk into the centre of the resort. Then a mere ten minutes walk away from ski school meeting points and around ten minutes walk to the nearest ski lift if you don’t want to ski over to it. There’s car parks nearby, as well as private parking which is available at a fee.

As a specialist ski company, we are able to offer ski passes and ski hire as part of the accommodation booking – and in many cases, we are able to include these at a discount- saving you money over what you can expect to pay for ski hire, lessons and hire in resort.

Avoriaz is a purpose-built resort which provides all of the convenience that you need to have a fantastic ski holiday. There’s immediate access to a massive ski area of the Portes du Soleil which boasts over 650km of slopes – and there’s a massive number of blue and red runs providing excellent skiing for intermediate skiers. You can even ski over into Switzerland within the ski area. Down in the resort, there’s plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a fantastic water park and we love “lunching” over at Les Linderets.
