This delightful ground floor self catered 3 bedroom apartment, for six people, is in a great location – it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of La Clusaz, close to the Bossonet ski lift, 150m away and on the road to the Balme ski area. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in La Clusaz, 500m away and if you don’t want to drive, leave the car parked up and either walk or take the free shuttle bus, which stops just 150m from your door. The apartment opens on to a sunny south-facing terrace where you can enjoy a meal or just soak up the sun while you admire the mountain view.

Six people will find plenty of space at this practical and cosy apartment, which has three double bedrooms sharing two bathrooms, with one en suite. All of the accommodation is on the ground floor in this larger chalet building, which has five other apartments. The spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area opens on to the terrace. The compact but well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook for six people, but there’s also a barbecue on the terrace if you’d rather enjoy the view while you cook. Then after dinner, relax on the cosy sofas and watch a film, or perhaps enjoy a drink on the terrace.

Neutral colours, faux fur and piles of cushions gives the chalet a cosy yet contemporary feel – whether you visit in summer or winter, you’ll feel at home. If driving here there’s parking just outside the chalet, as well as a ski room in the cellar where you can store all your outdoor equipment.

Skiers of all abilities can ski to within a short walk of this convenient La Clusaz apartment and the Aravis ski pass gives you access to 220km of pristine pistes, with something for all abilities – the weekly flood-lit descent in La Clusaz is a must. The local ESF ski school holds lessons for beginners on the piste close to the chalet, and cross-country skiers will find great terrain at Lac des Confins just a short drive away.

Non-skiers will have no time to be bored either, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you are looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the heated outdoor pool at La Clusaz, while the snow falls gently around you. In the summer, the terrace at the chalet is the perfect place to while away a sunny day, but there is so much to do in the La Clusaz area, you will ll wish you booked for longer. Walking or biking in the mountains is a pleasure, and all the hard work is done for you if you take the ski lift to the top and bike or walk down at your own pace – pick up a map of trails at the tourist office in La Clusaz.

Adrenaline junkies can try paragliding, canyoning, climbing, mountain-biking or white-water rafting. Via ferrata is a great family day out, with children as young as eight able to explore the mountains safely on iron walkways, secured to a harness. The beautiful medieval town of Annecy is less than 30 minutes drive away. There are several excellent golf courses and the lake, the cleanest in Europe, is a great place for swimming and water sports, or just hire a boat and explore some of the peaceful lakeside beaches.
